DSEC has an historical experience in the design and implementation of amino-acids production plants, produced by fermentation (tryptophane, lysine, …).
DSEC can design such production units by implementing the following unit operations, perfectly mastered by its process engineering team:

- separation technologies: centrifugation, decantation, …
- membrane technologies: UF, RO, ….
- purification and concentration technologies: crystallisation, fluidized bed, …
More recently, DSEC has been involved in the design and implementation of
bio-based organic acids plants, like butyric acid (in association with PDO) or glycolic acid.
