DSEC performs audits and engineering studies related to agro-industrial plants implementation, including process restructuring and energy efficiency improvement, ranging from simple advice to gradual Conceptual Engineering: FEL1, FEL 2, FEL 3, Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
These studies lead to project cost estimates (CAPEX) that are the key to investment decision and projects viability analysis. DSEC’s technical opinions and budgeting services are recognized by project lenders and Export Credit Agencies as a reliable tool for their own analysis of a potential investment.
Contractual approach
As a General Contractor, De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC) is capable to work with different contractual setups in order to meet customers’ needs. Its contractual approach is characterized by its flexibility and adaptability to specific contexts, from re-imbursable or lumpsum agreements for FEL1/2/3, Basic Design or FEED to full turnkey contracts: turnkey construction (EPC – Engineering, Procurement and Construction), as well as turnkey management (EPCM – Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services) or alternatives like EP+CM or EPCM+®.
