For this revamp project at EuroChem’s ammonium nitrate plant, De Smet AGRO was retained to provide know-how, develop basic engineering, purchase main equipment, and supply technical assistance during detailed engineering, erection, and commissioning. The existing 3 NPK lines based on Peck technology were revamped to produce CAN with a total capacity of 1,200 tpd. Existing granulators were upgraded by installing inside a fluidized bed and achieving low recycle rate. The plant is in operation as of 2009.
